Aquila Private Game Reserve is in the Western Cape's Southern Karoo, roughly two hours by road' drive from central Cape Town on the N1 — its own entrance sits just off the highway a few kilometres before the town of Touws River itself.
The road up
The route runs past Worcester and the Hex River Valley, climbing the Hex River Pass into the Karoo. Aquila's own turn-off comes off the N1 a few kilometres before Touws River town itself, so the reserve is reached slightly before, not after, the town.
Transfer or self-drive
